MaxEnt 2017 July, 09-14, 2017 – Paradies Resort Hotel – Jarinu/SP – Brazil

MaxEnt 2017 invites contributions on all aspects of probabilistic inference, including novel techniques and applications, and work that sheds new light on the foundations of inference. We welcome submissions by authors who are new to MaxEnt and on new and emerging topics – examples of topics and papers published at past MaxEnt meetings can be found at Past Section.

Submission of papers and presentations during the event must be in English.

Full papers accepted to the proceedings will be published in a book from the series "Springer Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics" (http://www.springer.com/series/10533). Submissions should be formatted accordingly. Full papers (including figures and text) are limited to 10 pages in length. See more details below.

  • Submission track:

All accepted papers will be presented at the meeting either as contributed talks or as posters. The registration in the event of at least one author and the presentation of the work are preconditions for their publication in the proceedings. This will be strictly enforced.
  • Submission policy:

Papers that are currently under review or have already been accepted or published in a refereed venue, including conferences and journals, may not be submitted. Submitted papers will be reviewed based on their novelty, technical quality, potential impact, and clarity of writing. Authors are encouraged to make data and code publicly available when possible.
  • Formatting instructions:

Submissions should be formatted in the "Springer Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics" format. The abstract (150 to 250 words) and full paper must be prepared using template available HERE and then submitted as a PDF file. Please do not make changes to the standard format. Papers (including figures and text) are limited to 10 pages in length (template). Abstracts submitted must follow the formatting rules and must indicate who is the expected speaker of the (possible) paper's presentation (template and pdf example).
